I love the simple elegance that bounding the sleeves gives to the look of a smocked bishop. I used the Children's Corner Smocked Bishop pattern, but any angle-sleeve smocked bishop pattern will work for this lovely garment.

The fabric I used was such a joy to work with -- very lovely cotton with a wonderful hand and sheer quality that warrants hours upon hours of hand embroidery work. There are 176 bullion roses around the neckline of this bishop.

This has become one of my favorite little garments and is sure to be a repeat.
